Great buy for your $'s IF you don't need a lot of light.
I use this in my office as an extra source of light while working on my computer at night. Creates a much warmer feel to the room.
If you intend to use it for reading it probably isn't bright enough for your liking.
You can buy a more powerful bulb I suppose but for such a small lamp I would probably just get a stronger or larger lamp.
It is very well made and quite heavy for it's size, people who see it make positive comments about it all the time.

I really like this little lamp. Its not very bright but makes a nice background lighting
