I absolutely LOVE the look of this mirror! Unfotunately, it's not as solid as it appears. The first one shipped to our home arrived in two pieces as the core of the mirror is made of styrofoam and cracked during shipping. I was disappointed in seeing how flimsy it was considering how expensive it was. But I opted for a replacement and there were no problems the second time around. It's beautiful to look it and is the perfect accompaniment to the room.
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

....The modern take on the old starburst mirror is stunning and elegant. But, I thought is was going to be made out of a stronger material than the foam type. But for the money it is a great vaule and gorgeous piece over my dining room deco buffet.
