The light was intended for a reading light that attached to a bed headboard. The clip on attribute is fine but the light is just not bright enough, probably by 40%.

The seeker clip lamp has worked well for us, except that one of the two we purchased had a bulb burn out in less than 6 months, without much use. further the halogen bulbs are very hot and must be handled carefully. i would like to find a bulb that worked that wasn't halogen or at least have a lower wattage, but no luck yet.

I bought 2 of these for my college students...so that they could have powerful, accurate lighting while studying. Easy spring clamp handles any sized headboard (or college bunkbed) or desk attachment. Long gooseneck twists practically any direction for spot lighting. Safety lever on lamp head is perfect for hot bulbs. Easy bulb insertion! FABULOUS LIGHT!!!!!

I have found this multi position lamp vary beneficial for highliting my computer keyboard, and the unlighted printer function switches.I am vary pleased and would recommend this lamp for many applications.
