You might ask how I gave 5 star ratings in all the categories but only a 4 star overall rating. The reason is the lights in this series, although beautiful and stylish and very well made, don't have a wide projection of light. Directly under the light and for a few (5-8) feet around there is great light but then it drops off very quickly. These are great lights for areas about 10-15 ft wide (for the largest version) but don't expect to read/work/cook or have great lighting at the edges. Works great over my dining room table, less so with 2 in my large kitchen.
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

The large Kichler pendant is very stunning. We are using it in our formal dining room, it is very clean with a contemporary/modern feel. The light shines down on the table with less light radiating upward. It is perfect. We also have 3 small pendant lights in the kitchen which are perfect. Love the product and the quality.
