We have this fixture in amber and it looks great over our kitchen island! The secret is the glass, which is hand-blown and contains excellent frit (that's what the chips, swirl etc. that give the glass its color and styling is called). Definitely better than the chinzy looking stuff you see at Lowes or the Depot. LBL and Tech are really a cut above most everything else out there, but my preference is LBL because they do a better job with the glass. If you can find one, try putting the light on a halo dimmer switch - I don't think you'll find one at Lowes but maybe at a local electical supply store? Anyway, its a great fixture esp. in amber.

The colors are as vibrant in real-life as they are in the pictures. These lights really added a dramatic flair to our kitchen and dining areas. Great customer service, too!
