This fixture is nice enough to look at, but should not be sold as an outdoor fixture. It has no seal for waterproofing and does not take outdoor rated lamps. I would send it back but have already thrown out some of the mounting hardware before I realized there was a problem with outdoor rated bulbs..........

This item has an attractive shape, covering the PAR style light bulb. I did not want the exposed bulb style that is more common and I did not want the automatic motion sensor type either. I want to turn on with a wall switch. Of note I could not find a single light fixture from Sea Gull, nor a double light fixture from Maxim, So to light up the exterior of my new house I have five Sea Gull doubles and three Maxim singles, and they look very similar.
