The light shade had a defect in it. I called the company and they said they would send out another shade. We'll see... I didn't care for the wiring set up and the extension. A little harder to work with than the other light we purchased. My wife likes the look of it especially when we get the new shade.

While remodeling my parent's home, we ran into a unique situation in the kitchen over the new island. Electrical limitations prevented us from being able to center a light directly over the island. We first looked at a larger light fixture in a different shape, but that did not look right not hanging directly over the island.

Instead I opted for this light as my ceiling light. I think it worked perfectly given the limitations we had. It is a very attractive fixture and really blends in well with my overall kitchen design.

I highly recommend using this company. They are fast with merchandise arriving in very good condition. They package well for shipping.

Only problem I have with this is that the glass is white. In all of the pictures it looks more like the color of the shade. I was looking for that, and not happy about the difference.

We decided on this design rather than flush mount when we saw both in a lighting store. We were replacing some really ugly ceiling fans. Installation was a snap. In one room we used maximum power bulbs because it's a workroom, but in the other two bedrooms, we used lower wattage bulbs and love the look of subdued elegance.
