I was pleased with how sturdy the lamp was. I rated the instructions highly, but didn't need them. It was just what I'd been looking for.

I love the lamp now as much as I did when I bought it. It fits very well into my decor and its sturdy solid base makes it less likely to tip over if bumped as some floor lamps are apt to do. The only thing I would suggest would be a selection of of a lighter shade color if possible. The shade is a bit darker than expected and not as easy to use as a reading lamp as it was intended. It's fine for watching television or just general lighting, but not for doing any close work.

It came in a decent time frame...in good shape and is ever bit a pretty as I expected.
