I love these lights - we put four in a newly remodeled room. The mounting plate is extremely poorly designed. The hardware does not work on a standard wall box. If I was not handy with these things I would have sent them back - however - I have to say - they sure look nice.

I added a pair of these lights, one on either side of my bed, when I redecorated my room in an asian theme. They provide lovely soft mood lighting, and have received many compliments. Don't count on them for enough light to read by, but they're perfect to provide soft lighting to set a relaxing or romantic mood.

This light was just as we imagined. We hung it in a Japanese style guest room and it looks graet and puts off a nice white light.
