We ordered two of the unfinished rockers and I was impressed that they arrived so quickly. They were packaged well, but the assembly instructions were not easy to understand. When assembling the first chair my husband gave up trying to use the directions and just "winged it." Some of the edges were a bit rough with some splinters, so they need to be sanded. They don't rock as much or as smoothly on our wooden deck as I would like, but they are comfortable and sturdy. They are a good starter set for our patio.
The assembly instructions were worthless - a blank piece of paper would have been better ( an I am an experienced woodworker) The pieces would not fit together without trimming and redrilling to center up hardware holes. When assembled, the chair needed extra knee bracing on the underside to keep from twisting when used be a large person.
In general, I would not recommend to the inexperienced.
For the price I think this is a good chair. Like the light weight to move them around. The trade off is the wood is very thin compared to a lot of Adirondack chairs out there. Will know more in a few years as to if the thinner wood is ok for use. Price to value seems good.
