If you are looking for a very good desk lamp that is made well, then you should consider this one. It is made of 100% metal parts (no plastic like most of the ones you'll find in local office supply stores). Its base is very heavy, so it will not tip easily. And the arms are long enough and flexible to allow you to focus the light where you need it.

It's a better value than some other desk lamps that cost $50 or $75 more.

The only thing that I do not like is that the on/off switch is located on the electrical cord itself. I would prefer that the switch either be on the top of the lamp shade or on the lamp base.
