This hinge between the base and arm is made of an inexpensive plastic and cannot be tightened enough. The arm drops down almost to a horizontal position and nothing will keep it up like in the picture. I will be contacting the company to return it.

The lamp fits my needs perfectly. It sits on a higher tier of my desk and lights my work space nicely. I am very happy with my purchase. It came in a timely fashion as well.
