This task light cost twice as much as a similar one found in Staples. However, I was not offered a choice of colors in Staples (only black) and the wattage rating is slightly higher for the Lite Source model being 100 watts instead of the 75 watts found in the less expensive Staples model. Otherwise, the products are very similar in design and functionality. I would not pay $25.00 again plus shipping for a lamp that I can purchase locally for $12.00.

The plastic base and clamp is totally insufficient to hold the lamp to ANY surface. I should have returned it.I was forced to fabricate a more stable base.

I was disappointed in the poor quality of this lamp. One of the pins that holds a
spring arrived broken, and the fixture that holds the bulb is not snug in the lamp.
It is still wobbling. The part that holds the lamp to the desk could be of a better
design. These lamps were of much better quality 30 years ago.

I was looking for a purple desk lamp for my new office and I was having a really hard time finding one....and then...there it was! It was just what I wanted.

I was having such hard time finding purple that I was ready to settle for red. When I found this one in red, I realized that it came in many more colors INCLUDING purple. Eureka!

Needless to say, I was happy as a clam and I couldn't wait to get it.

When it finally arrived, I was elated. It really was exactly what I wanted and the price was great too. Just perfect! Great lamp!!
