This lamp looks just as advertised, but it does not have a weighted base and will not stand on its own on anything other than a hard surface. I was planning on using this in our carpeted living room, and have to keep a large weight on the base to keep it from falling over. Also the design of the silk shades will make it extremely difficult to change light bulbs. Pretty, but extremely poorly designed.

A unique lamp that will bring an organic feeling into your living room while providing a warm ambience light... the "stem" of the lamp is an amazing example of workmanship, definitely a conversation piece.
