While the packaging and assembly instructions were both adequate, the load bearing components of this lamp are of molded plastic, not metal. The pivot arm collar mount broke immediately upon initial set up when positioning the pivot arm for the first time. Upon further examination all stress bearing parts on both ends of the pivot arm also proved to be plastic. No value here. Look elsewhere.
