For those having never owned a Sonneman lamp their pricing likely seems excessive; believe me when I tell you every penny spent is worth it. The design; the quality; the engineering and the detail that goes into every aspect of their lamps all make owning a Sonneman a real pleasure. Even as a long-time fan of Sonneman I was hesitant at the price of this lamp, but when I had it assembled and lighting my room I knew I had made the right choice. Right down to the very stylish lampshade that illuminates the room with a a very soothing glow, regardless of the intensity of the bulb. I chose this floor lamp to fill a particular need; that of lighting 2 distinct seating areas within close proximity to each other. If you can fit this lamp into you budget, you will not be disappointed.

I now have two of these lamps. They give exactly the kind of light my designer suggested and they are simple, elegant, and functional.
