This lamp is perfect in every way and has a superior quality look and feel. The chain pull switch is a plus.

Description said bronze finish. It is the blackest bronze I have ever seen. Also the felt was not installed properly on the bottom leaving some exposed metal to scratch my wood desk finish. The pivot points for lamp shade rotation are not flush with the glass shade leaving a large gap on one side.

I love the solid weight of this lamp. I love the look of it -- blends well with our Arts & Crafts-style furniture. I like that it is short enough it can sit beside the sofa on a table and not block our window at all.

I thought the stand was black in color as in the picture...maybe the description stated brown instead. Regardless, I'm still happy with it...shipping package was good...there was duty to Canada...someone told me there is no charge if the company ships with a company other than UPS. It took about 8 calendar days to get to Moncton, NB Canada from it's origin.
