There were 2 things I wasn't expecting about this light: (1) it looked like it had small pegs to hold it out somewhat from the wall, but it didn't - we mounted it over existing fixture pedastal otherwise it would be too close to wall (2) thought wattage of lights would be brighter, they're almost too dim. Still it's a good value for the price.
