The back surface of the light is constructed from thin copper sheet. The edges are folded back and the corners are seamed in order to suggest visual thickness, but the corner seams are clearly visible and the outcome is sloppy. While the example picture shows what appears to be a highly textured surface on a thick copper sheet, the lights we received contained mostly areas of plain, un-etched copper surface and the copper had the wavy appearance of a cheap thin sheet construction. The advertised picture is not representative; the actual lights were not nearly as visually interesting as the picture shown.

These sconces are gorgeous and I'm glad because I bought 6 of them! Plus, they're made in America which makes me very, very happy.

Good looking light but should include a bulb to start.

Mu husband and I remodeled our bed and bath 2 years ago. We selected 3 of these wall sconces and 2 matching lamps for our bedside tables. We loved the quality and the fact that we could choose our metals and glass options. They have held up well and add just the right touch to our modern Arts and Crafts motif. This company was helpful and flexible. We too loved that they are made in The USA! Wish there were more companies like this one...
