Two of these in antique copper look great as accents on our glass-front hard maple butler's pantry. Maximum thickness is 1/8" but looks thicker with the antiquing; the standoff is about 9/16" long, a slight squeeze for fat fingers if you want to pull from the crab's belly, but you'll probably pull by the claws anyway -- the edges are smooth and rounded, and the casting is strong. Be aware that the standoff is slightly off-center (to the left), so those demanding perfect symmetrical placement in your double-door cabinet pulls will need to adjust the mounting-hole locations accordingly. No worries if used as drawer pulls or on single door cabinets, or if you don't obsess over micro-misplacement of your knobs.

I searched several websites and look in quite a few stores. These are the best knobs I found. I could not be happier with them. They look great on the cabinets. I plan to order more.

I looked everywhere for crab knobs and this was only one of two that I found. They are perfect for what I need, and they came promptly and were a decent price. The finish is very cool as well, so I really feel like I scored!

Thought that they would be a little more substantail/heavier for the price.
