This was a replacement for a Casablanca fan installed in 1990. I would have repaired the old fan but no parts were listed for such an old model. The rotator to blade connector at that time was a plastic-rubber part which eventually failed. I note that on the new fan that part is now metal. Good idea. Installation was made a bit complicated by my assumption that the new fan would be completely compatible with the 1990 base and drop piece. It all worked out eventually. I find the new fan is very quiet and beautifully balanced but appears not to have the rpm capacity of the old one. I liked ramping the old one up to windstorm level on those rare really hot nights in the summer.It had the heft and finish of a 55 Chevvy. The new one is more like a new compact car but I suppose that is the price of energy efficiency.

casablanca outdoor fan

Can I use a outdoor fan inside? A:You definitely can use outdoor rated fans inside. You just can't use interior rated fans outside because of the moisture. Becky

How do I tell if a fan is rated for outside and sealed from moisture? A:All outdoor ceiling fans are for outside and are fine from any moisture.

Ineed an indoor-outdoor fan flush no moore than 9 inches from ceiling to fan blades. Plesae indicate which of your fans has those specifications. A:Because we carry so many fans on our site, it is would be hard to tell you all of the fans that meet your specifications. I would suggest that you take some time to browse our website.
