It is a nice fan. It looks beautiful in the room. Do not purchase the optional ceiling medallion if you are going to use the 3 1/2" downrod. You won't be able to install the fan. The medallion only works with the 6" downrod. This little tidbit is not contained in the instructions or websites.

Quality great, the instructions and assembly were hard for us because we had to switch over to a wall control instead of pulling a cord or a chain. So there's just one control for the light and the fan and it's on the wall.
I do not like the light fixture at all. It's not bright enough and you can't put stronger bulbs in it. Don't buy if you're looking for light. It's in our living room and thankfully we have lamps in there. The light is just for ambiance.

I'd only rate the light fixture a one. It puts out no light. There's just a bit of a glow. So don't buy this fan if you need any light in the room. Once installed, you can't return it.
The fan is pretty but yes on the high speed it is noisy.
