We have the smaller version in our dining room and were missing lighting in the adjoining living room, which has a very high ceiling with beams, but no central light. We bought this for the living room and it looks fantastic, and WOW wight light! We put 40W bulbs so a total of 400W and it seems much brighter than that.
We installed on a dimmer switch so we can lower the light - mostly we do not use it at full illumination. Very happy with the product. But it's big so it really only makes sense for a big room with possibly a high ceiling.
