Although the light itself is very nice, unfortunately there is a weak spot in its construction. The weak spot is the piece of plastic just above the clamp. I bought one of these lights some time ago and almost immediately that pice of plastic broke. I jerry-rigged it for a while, and then decided that I must have put undue pressure on it, so I decided to get another identical lamp, figuring I would use the first one for parts, or whatever. Well, within the first couple of weeks the SECOND one broke too--in exactly the same place.

I fixed the weak spot with jb weld epoxy and it lasted 4years but now the light burnt out and you can't get a replacement anywhere!

Great lamp! really bright, long cord, flexible neck.

Only cons I see is the short neck. I should have gone with a long-necked lamp.

My son asked for a bed lamp for his birthday. I looked long and hard before I discovered this item - it was just what he wanted. Bright, flexible, attractive, and reasonable. Thanks for steering me in this direction.
