I got the bronze finish. Lights are sturdy and look good. However, I could not figure out how to lengthen a downrod--instructions left me clueless, loosening of existing nuts and bolts to add a downrod seemed impossible. I thought I tried everything, after all, it is a fairly simple looking device. In the end, I gave up trying to figure it out, so I now have two short extensions, the ones that came already set up with the light. Also, this fixture will not mount over a pancake style electrical box, and so my electrician mounted it directly to the wood ceiling.
