Although I love the way they look in the room, these lights were a royal pain to install. Some of them came with complete installation kits, while others came with only some of the required screws. Two of my nine had no decorative screw caps enclosed, so I had to improvise their installation.

Each light arrives in the box with a cord installed - but since I was hard-wiring, I had to detach the cord for each unit. Also, be warned, the wiring is really cheap and flimsy (we are not talking copper wire here) and thus will get all tangled up if you screw and unscrew the wire cap more than once.

I like the light alright but it is a little small and the shade is especially small.

Bought the lights for two different purposes. Worked well for uplighting into the vaulted ceilings and look great. However, they have not worked out well at all as downward directed lighting in the kitchen. The neck is too weak to support the light resulting in the light being directed more toward the floor than the cabinets/counter. Bought 27 of them so we had the "luxury" of being able to choose which ones where the "strongest". They all had the same problem. WIfe did not think it was funny when I suggested spraying them with Viagra to see if that would help with their ED. Look is nice. DId not think they looked cheap. Inside of the shade is a bright white (not the same color/pattern of the exterior)--so be aware if you will be abel to see into the fixture if that will bother you.

I searched high & low for the perfect lighting in my kitchen redo. Mind you, I was doing the redo on a budget....tight budget! The transformation is amazing. The lighting really pulled the room together. I have two of the SL-9541 Orbit Spot Lights over my sink and the matching SL-954-5 5 Light Serpentine light in the center of the kitchen. Everyone who has seen the results can't believe how inexpensive the lighting was. I really wish I had a picture to post because it looks like something from a magazine. Customer Service is also awesome. My first Serpentine light came in damaged & with the wrong light bulbs. Just one phone call to customer service and within a few weeks I had a replacement.
