I am a designer & purchased it for my own use. Not only it is very nicely design, but the light output to my surprise is very pleasant & it is energy saver.

We bought this to replace an energy-sucking halogen torch lamp, and we couldn't be happier. This lamp gives out more light and distributes light more evenly than its predecessor. It is stylish and fits in with our decor. Three thumbs up from the three of us.

Dim light. Dissapointing.

The lamp was shipped in a protective carton and arrived undamaged. It took 10 minutes to assemble and worked perfectly when I plugged it in. Construction is from high quality materials and the base is heavy enough that there is no likelihood of it over-balancing. It uses a very efficient, toroidal fluorescent bulb which illuminates the ceiling well and also projects a comfortable, diffuse light downwards that is perfect for reading. Because a fluorescent lamp is used, the lamp's brightness cannot be adjusted. I have not found this to be a problem because the quality of the illumination is pleasant and in no way harsh. I looked long and hard for a lamp like this and, for the money, this is the best deal I could find. I'm very happy with it and would recommend it to anyone.
