I researched a number of floor lamps for sufficient output to use as a reading lamp and Sonneman was one of the few companies that produce one that takes a 75 watt halogen bulb. The lamp is well-built with two switch settings, easy to assemble (tools provided), with a clean style that works with both traditional and modern decor. My only concern was that while the Lighting Universe website showed it in stock, it actually took almost 4 months on backorder, due to lack of manufacturer availability.

Very pleased with the lamp although I had to wait a long time to receive it because of it was on back order. I really like the high low switch to control light intensity.

I have been searching lighting store sales, showroom sell-offs, and internet marketing for a pair of simple, classic, Pharmacy floor lamps for over a year. Everywhere I did find them, the cost was prohibitive.
