I ordered two of these to flank my inherited Victorian sofa to try and modernize it a bit. They look great. The brass finish is not as shiny/bright as I thought from the on-line pictures. I didn't want the totally 80's polished brass, but I thought these would be a little more golden. But I'm still very pleased. It's a little shorter than the average floor lamp (but the website lists accurate measurements, so that shouldn't be a shock), so be sure and measure and make sure the height will work for you. The shades that come with it are nice, too.
