Our condominiums require owners to replace outside light fixtures with ones that match the old fixtures (which aren't made anymore). These are very similar and they don't stick out (or down) as far. Mine are all wall-mounted. These don't interfere with the front door opening wide against the garage wall. They are easy to install. I bought enough to replace all of them, even the working ones, so they would all match. The only trouble I had was in choosing the right light bulb from the many choices offered.
