My wife doesn't care for the typical flush mount ceiling fixture that looks like a b00b. This fixture avoids that and fits nicely with the character of our 200 year old farmhouse (with some low ceilings).

I didn't bother much with the instructions. It's pretty straightforward.

The fixture comes with these two rubbery gaskets. One goes between the fixture and the ceiling. The other goes between the glass and the metal of the fixture. I couldn't get them to stay in place while mounting the fixture so I eventually just didn't bother with them. It doesn't seem to have caused any trouble. I suppose I could have glued them in while assembling but I didn't see that they really served any essential purpose. Perhaps if youre ceiling isn't very smooth the rubber gasket helps to hide gaps.

Overall, we're happy with the purchase and the speed with which it was delivered.

I have only had it a few weeks and have received many compliments on it. It is different than most of the ceiling mounted light fixtures, nice, I really like it. Great price too! Shipping cost could be much lower, but, I really like it so it doesn't matter that much.
