This light is large and even with 4 40 watt bulbs it puts off a lot of light. We love the way it looks. However, unless you are a licensed electrician like my husband, or you would know what to do beforehand, it is not easy to install. The instructions were actually for another light not the one we ordered. Therefore, without my husbands expertise, the light would have sat in a box. It required drilling extra holes(do not use the little plastic anchors that come with the light as they pull out of the holes and are useless, instead, use 3 toggle bolt fasteners. It took both of us to line up the holes. I held a spatula up under the fixture to hold down the insulation that is behind the fixture and held a flashlight while my husband lined it up with the holes he previously drilled.The light is very nice. We would recommend it to anyone and for the price, you can't beat it. I have added a picture of it below installed in our kitchen.

These fixtures are such a big improvement over your typical hall light fixtures. They are bright and stylish, and they don't hang down but hug the ceiling in a nice way.

This fixture arrived quickly and was just as described. We are very happy with this product. I appreciate being able to shop on line and get a good product like this one. The 'umber linen glass' is as pretty as the picture and works great. The electrician installed this so I cannot comment on the Instructions, assembly or installation.

I bought both the 20 inch and the size down from that. The larger went into the kitchen and the smaller into the laundry room. Both use CFL blubs, give great light and are excellent value when compared to similar items (if you can find them) at Restoration Hardware, Pottery Barn, etc.
