Having spent a premium to acquire two US made light fixtures imagine my chagrin when I unpacked the boxes to be greeted by an interior box boldly stamped MADE IN CHINA. This box contained the opal glass globe. To my eye the low quality glass markedly cheapens the look of an otherwise high quality fixture. I know that there is a disclaimer in the fine print somewhere that some minor potion of the components may not be US made but I did not imagine the imported portion would comprise the majority of the superficial appearance. It's a shame that Hubbardton Forge chose to finish their lovely work with low quality glass thereby casting their creation in a cheap light.

Hubbardton Forge lights are fantastic. We have 4 of them. Just gorgeous. It is so hard to find non-traditional lights, but HF fits the bill every time. Just love them.

The lighting fixture was exactly as I expected from the description. It is, however, very heavy making it difficult to install and align. Now that it is up, I really like it. Hopefully, it will never have to be moved.

We have purchased several HF products and enjoy them for their craftsmanship and overall quality. My only issue with this particular light fixture is the weight. There is nothing skimpy or wimpy about the construction and I was a little concerned about weight of the unit pulling the electrical box out of the ceiling. I installed the unit and my concerns vanished.
I highly recommend HF stuff cause it is an excellent quality.
