We wanted contemporary fixtures that would still appeal to our 6 year old son, we installed this in his study nook and the matching semi-flush mount as his main light. He loves them because it looks like the glass is held in place by little silver claws which works great with all his dinosaur stuff. :-) I think these would look lovely anywhere though, very classy affordable and elegant fixtures.

I used it for my 3 car garage. Theses are cheap and worth for the look. But the fixture looks a bit small for my garage.
