This is an attractive light and provides good illumination!!

My electrician had a hard time getting one piece to fit, but I do like the finished product

We bought 4 for our hallway. Had them for 10 years, from the start they didn't work well. Over the years I don't know how many light bulbs I've bought--they don't last very long. We've had the electrician come in twice to try and fix the problem, but couldn't. Now we're selling our house, we have to replace them all because only one bulb will light. Very unreliable.

I have four of this design in my house and am searching for replacements. Just removed one fixture when none of the 4 bulbs in it would light. The 115 Volt house wire threads through each of the sockets in turn. The sockets are clamped onto the 115 Volt wire so that copper prongs pierce the insulation and make contact (sort of). The first one had shorted, the main 115 Volt wire was burned in two, the upper portion of the housing was blackened with carbon around that socket, and the insulation above that socket was blackened. It smelled like burned wire insulation. This design is cheaply assembled and is dangerous. Do not use it!
