I have installed fixtures of this type before with no problem. These fixtures are very difficult to get just right and the cheap construction on the inside (foil paper with fiberglass insulation) starts to come apart when you have to keep adjusting the screws. Don't purchase, unless you mind spending an hour hanging a fixture that should take 10 minutes.

Good looking lamp in our 50 y.o. house. Nice styling without being too pricey. The glass is heavy duty, has a rustic look to it without being cheezy like so many of them these days. The metal trim ring has well-done plating that looks far better than some I have seen. Easy to mount once I figured out the right length for the stud that goes into the upper bracket. Sturdy mount that should survive our occasional Pacific Northwest earthquakes!

I ordered three of these fixtures (in two sizes) and am happy with them. They are nice looking and well-made. They arrived promptly and in good condition.
