Much sturdier and more comfortable than I thought they would be. I am a little over 200 Lbs and they support me just fine. I think they will be great for outdoor use. They fold up for easy storage, won't stain concrete and bamboo is sturdy stuff that stands up to the weather it grew in (made in vietnam). No assembly required, ready to go out of the box. Goes well with my palapa and other tropical decore. Packaging was flimsy, but good enough to get it to me unharmed and shipping was really fast. Great product for the price. I got four innitially then ordered four more after checking out the first shipment. I was going to try some directors chairs in another area, but was concerned about fabric longevity and cleanliness. These can be hosed off & wiped down. Hardware is not stainless, but they look like they are good for at least 5 years with a little care. I'm satisfied....
