I have this light in my kitchen, its a beautiful light. Well made and I love the glass, it gives a soft lighting to the kitchen. It doesn't give out a bright light, I have other recessed lighting so it doesn't make a difference to me. But if its your only light source you may not like the soft lighting.

Way too big for an island. Had to return it for something smaller.
