Manhattan's Tribeca District is an acronym for the Triangle Below Canal, referring to the triangular area bounded by Canal Street, the Hudson River and Lower Broadway. Originally an area of farms that became a bustling district of warehouses and wholesalers, Tribeca has evolved today into a revived community of retailers, offices, shops, restaurants, and chic residential space.
