These smart looking halogen desk lamps feature a polished steel finish, natural wood, and a detachable transformer.  The LS-3589 model also comes with a gooseneck ability.  They are great for saving energy.  They both included an on/off base switch.

The lamp has been very reliable. The problem I was having with inexpensive desk lamps was the on/off switches. They always failed after a short time. This lamp has a very nice switch and I expect to get many years of service.
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Product arrived in a timely manner and is exactly as pictured. The base is heavy, so the lamp is stable even when I adjust the angle at the top. Overall, very nice quality. If they made this in a mahogany or cherry finish, I'd really be very excited and would buy more, as our decor is actually darker wood. But this is neutral enough that it looks okay.
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
