I have a rental condominium about 4 hours away from my home and rely on a property management company. I purchased this after one renter had supposedly left, but was still there 3 days after the rental period without payment. I would have never known, but I let a friend use the unit and when she went to the unit, the prior renter was still there without permission. My management company is good, but they are managing so many units. I purchased this unit to prevent unauthorized usage as well as the convenience and safety of not having to worry about issuing and returning keys. Prior to this lock, there were so many keys floating out there, that it was difficult to ensure the safety of my family and guests. This lock is great because you can email the code to your guests and it is only valid during the dates of their stay and says so on the email. They can arrive at their convenience during the designated time period, and no one has to meet them to provide a key. I love it. In terms of installation, I had a locksmith install it for $70. It was definitely worth it.
