I waited about 4 weeks for my light to come in from when I ordered it before they where released. The light is awesome. It looks great on my desk and with its flexibility is easily adjusted to get light exactly where I want it. The touch pad dimmer works perfect, on high the output can even be a little much with paper with a bit of gloss to it such as a magazine. I also opted for the motion detector which works great. I leave the light on most of the time and walk away. The motion detector shuts the light off after 15 minutes and if I have it aimed correctly turns the light on when I walk into the room. I know I had to have it before it was released but I do feel the price is a bit high for this light. I imagine it will come down as led lights become more main stream, so if you don't "need" this light now wait a little while and see if the price drops.

Ok, ordered the lamp before Christmas, it was delivered by manufacturer to other side of country. Worked with LightingUniverse and not exactly painless but giving the benifit of the doubt due to Holidays. They got the manufacturer to send me a new light (cause I definately didn't want the original). All in all, assembly was simple and quick. It has performed flawlessly from day one. Doesn't generate a lot of heat but produces great, I mean GREAT light. We got the Cool light and in the black finish. The lamp is virtually invisible, takes up little space, and is very adjustable and the LED lights (45) have a very sensable display pattern. I am so happy that we didn't give up as this lamp provides both the great light and little heat, so working under for long hours is comfortable.
