Living in a rural neighborhood, I have come to depend upon the motion detector flood lights that have been aimed at my driveway for the past several years, especially when I arrive at home late at night. Recently, I had to replace the sensor unit (my second time replacing it), but given its daily use and exposure to weather elements (heat, cold, rain, etc.), that is to be expected. When I have installed the replacement units, they have consistently worked well. The down side is that they appear not to be sold separately in typical retail outlets (Walmart, Home Depot, etc.), and the online pricing is significantly higher than I would have expected them to be. I paid about $35. Given that I can buy a clock radio, which lasts forever and offers far more functionality for as little as $10, I believe $35 is too much. I paid it, because I didn't perceive a choice.

It doesn't work. I got the light switch that is supposed to communciate with it, got a replacement switch because we thought the switch was defective. It still doesn't work. I tried contacting the manufacture and haven't gotten a response from them. It was a nice idea, and would have been great if it actually worked. But these items have never worked since i purchased them.
