The fixture rwequires 3 glass lampshades that arrived with one broken glass lampshade in mid November 2010. I promptly called for a replacement and was told it would ship in a few days. 2 weeks later, I received an email notifying me that the shade was backordered and would not be available for shipping until early February. I called and asked if there were similar alternative shades that I could have but that I would then need all three to be replaced so that they matched. This was agreed as long as I was willing to return the unbroken shades, which was fine with me. I was given a similar style and told it would ship in a few days. Again, 2 weeks later, I was told that that this model also was on back order and would not ship until mid march 2011. I again called and asked why when they parts were first ordered and given delivery dates, it was not know that they would be unavailable. Lighting Universe had no reasonable answer other than to blame the manufacturer. After discussing my options with a very arrogant and nasty representative of Lightning Universe, she told me if I was unhappy with their response, I could either return the original damaged unit for a refund or another model. However, they would not be willing to compensate me for the installation costs I would incur to take down and reinstall a replacement, nor would they send me a replacement until they received the damaged unit first so that I would have no lighting in place for several weeks. Lighting Universe does not stand behind customers, are unwilling to be reasonably helpful and blames their suppliers for their service issues. I would never again buy from this or any of their related companies or websites.

I found this fixture to be better than expected. Very good quality. I love it! My only complaint is the metal piece that connects to the ceiling is very plain -just a metal box. It could have been made more decorative to compliment the fixture. Otherwise this fixture is great.
