Bright enough to illuminate a wide area. Easy to install and light sensor allows me to keep it on while gone on weekends. The only caveat: the light sensor is on the top lid, so you must allow enough hanging distance from the ceiling to allow enough light to reach the sensor on cloudy days, or else the light will stay on all day. I had to adjust it down twice until I got it to turn off after full sunrise on cloudy days.
