This light is good-looking, substantial-feeling, and well finished. It is everything that I had hoped it would be in the way of the Craftman-y style. A couple of comments for comment only. The lamp gives off a definite yellowish aura when using a regular soft-white bulb. I would have preferred a little whiter aura. Also, the instructions say to use an octagonal electrical box for mounting. I used the box that was already embedded in the brick wall (and not coming out anytime soon). My box was a standard rectangular (tall and skinny) box, and the light mounted just fine. My light was mounted in a protected outdoor location, so I didn't apply silicone around the electrical box opening. I would use silicone, however, if the light were getting rained or snowed on. Finally, there is a block of extremely annoying styrofoam protecting the socket of the lamp. I tried pulling it out, then cutting it out. I realized that the best way to remove the inner block of styro is to unscrew the two screws on the lid of the light. Otherwise, you're looking at a big mess. The styro disintegrates upon being touched or cut.
Overall, I'm very happy with this light. I intend to mount two more of them on the garage side of my house this Spring.
