I really like the style of this sconce because it's a little different than the usual carriage-type fixture, but I have to say that the actual sconce does not look exactly like the photo. The metal is not as heavy-duty looking and the glass panels are actually more opaque instead of the clear but distorted look. Also, the lamp part of the fixture was attached a little crooked on the mounting plate, so I had to make sure that it hung down straight when installed.
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Our new exterior wall sconces have made a big improvement to the curb appeal of our house. The satin nickel finish gives our house the more contemporary look we wanted. They were not too difficult to install, taking only a couple of hours. It is unfortunate that they took three months to arrive but it was worth the wait since I couldn't find any others I liked as well for the price.
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This lantern is beautiful...it is the only one on our block like it! No one else has one like this! I am looking into whether I can put a highter wattage bulb in there than a 60-watt bulb. The 60-watt bulb isn't quite as bright as I would like it to be. But it really looks nice.
