We ordered and installed four of these sconces on our home during a major renovation. They were easy to install, look amazing, and are a quality product... and were some of our most satisfying purchases in lighting on the whole renovation project.
Unfortunately, we get strong winds (30-70 mph) and these lights didn't hold up for more than a few months in the wind. They didn't fall apart, but we uplift from the wind would move the shades around until they couldn't say in place.
We finally had to pull them down and replace them with sconces with less wind resistance which have held up nicely, but don't look anywhere near as nice as these. We moved these into our garage (where there isn't wind) and are quite happy with them there, but that obviously wasn't the original plan.
Bottom line, great value, good product, looks great, but avoid it if you live in an area with substantial, consistent wind. I think they would be fine with 99% of homes.
First I was a little disappointed with the gauge of metal used. It seems rather flimsy for the price point. $70 seems like a better price for what you get. The color and finish are good, and it works. I chose poorly when selecting this lamp, as I was aiming for less glare around and over my sitting area. My mounting point was simply too high to avoid that (my mistake). I plan to move this fixture to another mounting point (closer to the ground) at a later date to reduce glare on my deck.
