Great light for access lighting and a modern look. Price is ok. The photo makes the cover look frosted and it is not. Plastic cover o rings for screws and a nice rubber gasket for wet location mounting. Easy, straight fwd mounting. I recommend this light for contemporary,modern look. Very pleased.

This unit is powder coated cast aluminum, not plastic. The only plastic part is the lens which is covered by the bronze colored aluminum. HOWEVER, the photo seems to show a light bulb shining down. In fact the bulb base is at the bottom, so the top of the bulb is actually under the bronze shroud wasting the light in the largely opaque top of the fixture. Bummer. However it is easy to drill out the back and relocate the socket although this spoils the integrity of the back plate.

I shopped for all kinds of lighting to serve as Modern looking affordable "Access" lighting before settling for this sconce. I liked the beveled cover and shaded hood appearance and its not too small or too big. I was surprised it was all plastic as the image gives a metal appearance. Not really that big of a deal since I got it on sale. There is a nice thick gasket that seals the back against the mounting surface and 3 "O" rings for the mounting screws. I really like the design and look now that it is up I attached a photo cell above it. The design mimics a security system which I consider a plus. Definitely recommend this light.

Pros: Very attractive light, well made, robust construction. Still looks new after 3 months outdoors. Easy install. Unit appears to be made of powder-coated aluminum with a textured plastic cover.

Cons: Light bulb head (A6) points up into the metal-covered top, so much light is lost. Also 4 0-rings around the screws to seal are easy lost when the unit is disassembled.

These are relatively minor issues and the fixture provides pleasing light on a deck, walkway or patio at night. Installed about 10 of these as part of a remodel. ATG had the best price.
