I love these lights. Very well made, and hold up well in the rain here in Washington. I bought 5 of them to line my driveway.
The fixture is intended to light a pathway, but it does a good job along the driveway too. I placed them 12" away from the pavement, and still get almost 2' of lighting on the driveway. Hence, don't expect more than 2-1/2'(radius) of light spread from this unit. The light's not very bright, but adequate to line a driveway.

Make sure your transformer is up to the job. I added 280 watts of lighting to my 300 W transformer and put these lights at the end of a 200' long wire run. Very dim. Reran 10 Gauge wire (instead of 12 and 14 gauge) and it doubled the brightness of the lamps.
